We are a prestigious, award winning weddings and events furniture hire company, providing a beautiful and stylish range of furniture to high-end events. We go above and beyond to ensure our clients’ expectations are exceeded at every touch point.
We are currently seeking individuals to join our small, friendly team. You will be required to drive our vans (up to 3.5T, but 7.5T experience a bonus) so a full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
Vacancies are part time or casual hours.
This is a seasonal position at first, to help during our busy summer season that runs from May until September. There may be an opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
We are looking for hard-working and dedicated delivery drivers/warehouse operatives.
You will be the face of our small business so we are seeking individuals with legendary customer service! You must be friendly, confident and have exceptional verbal and written English communication skills. Our events can be very time sensitive (wedding days!) and punctuality & reliability is therefore essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Organising, picking and loading inventory on to vans (usually 3.5T Luton with tail lift)
Securing loads for safe transport
Moving inventory around warehouse by hand, sack & pallet truck and dolly
Driving vans to and from events around UK
Maintain clean and tidy vans
Regular weekend work would be required
Occasional late nights (past midnight)
Occasional overnight stays for long distance events
Some basic set up on site (training will be given)
Inventory checks, cleaning and damage reporting
Experience and Skills
· Full, clean UK MANUAL driving licence
· Minimum 3 years driving experience with some experience of driving 3.5T vehicles (7.5T experience would be a bonus!)
· Trailer towing experience a bonus
· Fluent in written and verbal English
· You MUST be physically fit & strong. There is a lot of lifting and carrying of furniture, some heavy and bulky, which can be physically demanding.
· Friendly, confident, and polite
· Hardworking and reliable
· Able to take direction on site from clients, wedding planners etc.
· Be an excellent problem solver and think on the job if issues arise
· Have a reliable mode of transport for getting to and from our warehouse (if not your own van)
· You must be a team player with a positive attitude and good sense of humour!
Willing to muck in where needed. We are a small business, so everyone is expected to perform various duties as required to maintain our brand’s reputation and to keep everything running smoothly.
Will consider van owner/drivers with clean, reliable, unbranded vans (Luton with tail lift preferred)
