If you're a patient, safe driver and like early morning starts so you can enjoy the rest of your day, you're the perfect fit for our small, friendly driving team at DMC Transportation.

The working pattern is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday starting at 4am.

About You

  • You must have a full valid UK manual driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points and zero DD and DR history.
  • You’ll need a minimum of 2 years driving experience and also be aged 25+ to meet our insurance requirements.
  • You’ll be reliable and punctual, enjoy being independent and working on your own.
  • You’ll be flexible, able to carry out manual deliveries and be willing to travel throughout Scotland in line with your duties.
  • You’ll also have a good attention to detail with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • When you’re on the road, you’ll need to be organised and as you’ll be representing DMC Transportation, we expect you to be well presented, courteous and professional at all times.
  • It would be helpful if you have previous delivery driver experience and a good knowledge of our road network.

About Us

We’re a light haulage business offering same day delivery and return services across central and the whole of Scotland. We provide full on-the-job training including shadowing of an experienced driver during your first week.

The Role

On arrival at our depot, you’ll:

  • assist with loading your Sprinter van;
  • ensure your vehicle is fully prepared for each day’s work including fuelling up;
  • plan and organise a given route on a daily basis; and
  • ensure the timely and safe delivery of each drop, using scanners and data recording.

When you’re not on the road, you'll:

  • make sure your van is clean and ready for the following day; and
  • assist colleagues with other duties and sometimes help out with light duties at the depot.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.50-£11.50 per hour

  • 8 hour shift
