Accounts Payable Assistant, London
Background
Space NK has both retail (UK) and wholesale (US) operations. All finance support is provided by the team in the UK.
Role Overview
Providing day to day administrative support within the finance team. This role reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and is responsible for entering data for non-stock invoices within the retail (UK) company.
Responsibilities Include:
- Processing high volume invoices per month
- Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Statement reconciliation – following up with suppliers on variances in Navision
- Coding per marketing budget and in line with company structure
- Preparing weekly payment runs
- Assist with month-end closing
- Respond to all vendor and stakeholder enquiries
- Managing of the payables inbox
- Maintaining aged creditor reports
- Identifying prepayments and posting accordingly
- Preparing and uploading journals onto Navision
- Liaising with head office and store staff to ensure invoices are authorized in a timely manner
- Assisting with stock invoices
- Perform adhoc projects as necessary
Skills required:
- AAT qualified or relevant degree preferred
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics Navision ideal, but not essential
- Previous experience within a finance team would be desirable as well as an understanding of the retail environment
- Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Must be adaptable, flexible and a team player
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team
- Proactive with ‘can-do' attitude'
