Festival and Event Security and Stewarding
Roles and Responsibilities – Include, but not limited to, customer service, a positive engaged attitude towards festival goers. Positions are subject to change and the opportunities are endless:
- Event Control - Using radios to communicate with all staff and liaising/working closely with event suppliers and emergency services
- Event Control Logger - Keeping detailed notes of all communicated incidents
- Event Control CCTV Operator - Operation of CCTV cameras across a large area, responding to the Event Controller
- Search Gates - Ensuring festival goers are not bringing in prohibited items and confiscating those that have
- Campsite Patrols - Maintaining a safe, friendly environment for all types of customers
- Access Control - Confirming wristbands/passes
- Response Drivers - Responding to incidents generally relayed by Event Control
- Stage/Pit Staff - Ensuring the safety of customers and monitoring crowd movement/activity
- Crowd Management/Queue Control - Ensuring the safety of customers upon entry and monitoring for overcrowding
- Welfare/Medical Teams - Providing First Aid and assistance if required
- External Patrols - Communicating with general public and residents
Staff will be required to camp in a designated staff campsite (away from the festival goers) and therefore will need to bring camping equipment with them. i.e a tent, sleeping bag etc.
Hours- Average of 12-hour shifts – Both Day shifts and Night shifts available.
Meet Point – Staff will be required to sign in with our designated Admin team. Zone positions and daily meet points will be confirmed on site.
Uniform – Black trousers, black boots, Black polo and no visible logos. Suitable footwear is highly recommended due to the changes in weather and the ground can become wet and muddy. Please do not wear trainers whilst working. We also recommend warm outer layers which must also have no visible logos.
SIA – Please ensure your SIA badge (if applicable) is always on your person and visible.
Travel - Coaches and Minibuses will be provided from a designated pickup location with a small deduction from your final pay. The amount of this may differ dependant on festival location and travel distance.
Breaks - Please note, generally there are no specifically allocated break relief due to large numbers of staff over a large area. Staff will be required to break and cover between their zones which will be regulated by Zone Supervisors.
Welfare - Showers and toilets are provided, x2 meals per shift provided without cost. Electrical power points available for charging devices.
Equipment - Hi Viz and Radios will be supplied, Additional uniform requirements may be supplied – ie. Waterproof jackets and Hi Viz coats.

Salary: £9.50-£12.00 per hour
