Shift: Sunday - Thursday 4pm - 12am
Main purpose of the job: You will supervise and develop the evening picking operation, ensuring that orders are picked, loaded and all relevant quality assurance checks are completed in a timely manner each day. The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to monitor and improve productivity within a small team.
Main duties:
· Supervision and guidance of the picking team
· Allocate pick for the start of the shift.
· Conduct daily briefs to all employees.
· Quality control checks prior to despatch
· Working with the Night shift Manager to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse evening shift.
· Monitoring the handling and despatch of stock to ensure best practice and quality assurance.
· Placing goods in stock when required
· Developing processes to improve the picking and despatch of goods to customers
· Key holder responsibility
· Monitoring of team productivity and addressing of any issues
· Provide accurate data on individual staff performance
· Redistribute work within the team to cover holidays and other absence
· Assisting with picking where necessary
· Monitor and maintain a healthy and safe working environment for all staff
· Conduct initial and refresher training with the team
· Ensure the warehouse is clean and tidy each evening,
· Ability to provide instructions and follow instructions.
· First Aider
· Fire Warden
Skills and experience required:
· Adaptable and diplomatic in approach
· Ability to supervise a small team of staff
· Good level of fitness
· Good teamwork skills
· Eye for detail
· Presentable in appearance with an attitude that promotes a professional image of Dunsters Farm at all times
· Professionalism
· Flexible in regards to working arrangements and operational changes
· Excellent communicator
· Experience in manual handling
· Confident in completing paperwork and proficient at using software packages
· Understanding of Health and Safety.
Responsible for:
· Adhering to Health and Safety requirements
· Ensuring cleanliness of the depot
· Supervision of the picking team
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
