We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team specializing in Function for our New Power Business Unit Research & Technology in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, UK.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Development of advanced electrical machine topologies - Electromagnetics and Thermal for electrical machines.
- Work with with electric machine, power electronics and software team to develop electric solutions for commercial vehicles
- Establish relationship between theoretical model results and hardware test results
- Be a local expert on e-machine model development
- Help to develop hardware-in-the-loop test benches for power electronics, motors, and controls
- System evaluation of Power Electronics impact on electrical machine.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Positive and open-minded attitude with strong drive towards new technologies.
- Electrical or Mechanical engineering with some experience in Electrical Machine Design: Electromagnetics, Mechanical, and Thermal.
- Theoretical expertise and model development experience of advanced e-machine topologies intended for traction applications.
- Ability to use numerical programs like MATLAB/SIMULINK, Ansys/Motor-CAD, COMSOL, JMAG for e-machine design optimization and system level simulations.
