We are currently seeking an UK-based Imaging application Scientist who will be responsible for supporting high-content imaging sales and customers in the UK and Europe.

What we’ll get you doing:

  • Provide high level support to existing and potential customers.
  • Support Account Managers on sales calls to customer facilities to provide technical and applications assistance in response to customer enquiries.
  • Perform product demonstrations and support evaluations in the field through on-site visits or in-house evaluations.
  • Prepare and present seminars to customers and potential customers.
  • Provide in-depth applications training to customers at their facilities.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of European demonstration equipment and co-ordination of the demonstration timetable.
  • Report on activities in the field on a regular basis to line manager and sales management as requested. Contribute to continuous improvement of existing product lines and to the development of future R&D projects.

The essential requirements of the role include:

  • Essential – Masters’ degree in life science with an emphasis in cellular/molecular biology with relevant postgraduate or industrial experience, or a PhD. Must be able to demonstrate strong scientific background knowledge.
  • Desirable – previous experience with fluorescence microscopy, preferably using Molecular Devices products, will be a major advantage.
  • Essential – excellent English language skills
  • Ability to speak another European language natively/fluently will be a major advantage.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Demonstrable experience in a life science technology, pharmaceutical, scientific equipment, or similar academic organization. Evidence of strong skill set supporting customers (internal and external) in a technical or scientific role.
