As a member of the Records & Information Management (RIM) team within the Visa Global Privacy Office (GPO), you will not only play a critical role as a RIM professional, helping to drive the RIM program forward, but you will get exposure to and have an opportunity to become an expert on a diverse range of cutting-edge topics. The GPO team supports a wide array of global, regional and local initiatives on data governance, cybersecurity, records and information management, artificial intelligence and machine learning, open banking and cross border data movement.
The RIM Program Manager will be a critical new member of Visa’s growing GPO and will provide records and information management subject-matter-expertise, education and advice to Visa locations throughout the Europe (EU) Region, facilitating compliance with legal, regulatory, and business requirements to manage records and information in the jurisdictions in which Visa operates.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, an active listener and problem solver, with attention to detail. This individual needs to work well with all levels of the organization, including Legal Counsel, EU Leadership, Technology, Country Managers, Compliance, Risk, Records/Data Stewards, and administrative staff. Good written and oral communication skills are required. The person in this role will need to exercise good judgement, and know when to perform additional research, seek advice or escalate issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reporting to the Senior Director, Records & Information Management, representing the EU Region as a RIM subject matter expert
- Working closely with global RIM team members to mature the RIM program and facilitate policy compliance throughout the organization
- Liaise and influence business stakeholders in all functional areas of the organization
- Improve compliance with Records & Information Management Policy and procedures through education, risk assessments and conducting ad hoc trainings
- Facilitate creation and execution of remediation plans with business owners
- Provide guidance to content and application owners based on assessment of information and data flow for appropriate categorization to the Retention Schedule
- Proactively Identify opportunities for improvements and potential solutions
- Provide risk assessment for Suppliers managing Visa records and information
- Provide reporting and metrics
- Provide oversight and authorization of off-site records storage users and monitor compliance
- Manage stakeholder expectations, engagement, and communications, to ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on feedback.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Professional:
- Relevant Records & Information Management experience
- CRM or IGP Certification preferred
- Experience working in a similar industry (payments, finance/technology) for a global organization would be highly desired
Technical:
- Understanding management of structured and unstructured data content
- Understanding Information Governance, Content Management Systems, file shares and collaboration tools
- Strong presentation and communication skills, attention to fine details
- Experience defining requirements and implementing enterprise systems
- Ability to multi-task and work well with deadlines
- Experience working in a matrix and cross-cultural environment
- Strong ability in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word
