POSITION SUMMARY
Working with the Senior Design Manager this role is responsible for the creative output of a brand or brands, in the creative execution of visual merchandising requirements. This includes all brand VM launches including (but not limited to) light box updates, locator updates, localtly designed tester units. This role will work cosely with a store designer and will have an overview of any assets being created by the CCH to help ensure a consistant brand 360 output across all streams.
This role will ensure continued innovation on all creative output while in adherence to brand guidelines. Concepting and ideating designs to help drive overall brand strategy and storytelling on all VM executions across the brands distribution, managing the impact of changes in project scope and pro-actively devise contingency plans/options when applicable, identifying potential project risks and develops processes that align internal and external resources to satisfy those gaps.
This role will help support the team with management of budgets and capital expenditures in terms of both value and phasing, managing cost saving enitiatives with UK Procurement and discussions with the Global Design
WHAT THIS ROLE DOES
Summary
- Ensure brand equity is maximized at all times, in conjunction with brand and retailer guidelines
- Collate database of images and site dimensions
New Store Opening/Renovations.
- Create planogram/product layout for new store designs
- Create New Store opening collateral orders (for the Creative Ops team to then order)
- Work with team to create print assets for new store openings. Where new assets are required work with the CCH to develop new assets, which are in line with the brand guidelines.
- Work with printer to ensure colour matching
- VM dressing at point of launch
- Implement new counter installations and refits including post installation follow up
VM
- Local adaption of guidelines, with inclusion of any local initiatives, designs and copy
- Storytelling with guidance
- Liaise with global on designs, guidelines and regional feedback of POS/display units.
- Oversee the development of any local unit and POS.
- Create concept drawings.
- Review, approval detailed designs of testers.
- Working with wider team, oversea the design of artwork required for display units, light boxes, windows.
- Assist with forecast of Main Line, Ancillary and POS units.
- Work with graphic designers to create store installation guides.
- Responsible for regular store visits with a focus on Flagship and top doors
- Ensure our stores reflect the VM strategy by adhering to the VM guidelines
- Implement new counter installations and refits including post installation follow up
- Enforce high Visual Merchandising standards at all times
- Ensure clear messaging though out all categories
- Be consumer focussed
- Engage and inspire with storytelling on counter
- Enhance store experience and services
- Champion housekeeping and maintenance in store
Events
- Conceptualise in store events – work with store design where required.
- Manage store approval process.
- Create collateral orders
- Work with team to create print assets for event. Work with printer
- Oversee retailer approvals where necessary.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL IN THIS ROLE
MUST HAVE SKILLS
- Relevant 3D, 2D, Interior Design or Product Design Diploma
- Software – competent with with Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop – Adobe Creative Suite. Sketch up
- Office 365 - Excel and Word capabilities required
- Good freehand sketching to ideate across ideas to brands and suppliers
- Holistic 3D experience and execution capabilities
- Coordination skills
- Digital/virtual in-store exp.
- Focus on self-navigation, shopper experience
- Business acumen and commercial mindset
- Experience managing vendor relationships
- Basic materials, manufacturing, and installation execution knowledge
- Experience in Boots and other SMC/Pure Play.
- Experience in open sell environments
- Qualification – Relevant 3D, 2D, Product, Industrial Design and/or Marketing
- Good understanding of applications of new digital technologies (e.g. screens in store) to enhance in-store experience with guidance. Ability to proposes ways new technologies could be implemented in store

- Portfolio focused on beauty and luxury
- Expertise in multi-brand environments
- Int’l and affiliate level education/work experience
- Retail experience (keep the end user in mind)
- Knowledge of latest seasonal and fashion trends
- Experience in integrating Open Sell to department stores
- Experience with MAC Vectorworks (2D&3D) software
