Main duties of the job
A self-starter, you will have excellent organisational skills with a proven understanding of contract management and the delivery of estates & facilities services, preferably within an NHS or public sector organisation. You will be pragmatic and work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the services within a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment.
The post holder will provide advice to Operational Managers and Clinical teams on the provision of estates and facilities services and any contractual issues. You will provide input on the drafting of contract specifications and assist the procurement team throughout the process of selecting a contract partner.
You will monitor contract performance, KPI’s and invoicing; meeting regularly with stakeholders and dealing with issues and complaints.
Effective communication, relationship building, and problem-solving skills are essential to this role. They will also be well organised, able to implement robust processes and have an understanding of project management principles.

The Trust comprises the main Royal Free Hospital located in Hampstead, Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield and Barnet Hospital, with satellite sites across London. We also provide Community Health Services for adults and children across Camden allowing us to deliver seamless care for our patients.
With offices based in North London, we are able to offer hybrid working with 2 days per week from home. On occasion you may be required to visit our NHS partner and/or contractor sites and some flexibility will be required to accommodate this.

- Experience of Estates and/or Facilities Management
- At least 2 years relevant specialist experience of NHS or local authority service agreements/ contracting processes; or managing services in the NHS sufficient to have gained a thorough knowledge of these aspects of NHS management activities
- Experience of service improvement and evidence of success in securing favourable outcomes through successful negotiation
- Experience of creating and presenting reports to Exec and Board level & confident in ability to present to groups.
- Experience working with contractors and managing contracts
- Experience of implementing new ways of working and documenting standard operating procedures
- Understanding of the current challenges facing the NHS and the healthcare sector
- Proven expertise to lead, plan, manage, interact with colleagues and deliver projects successfully in a spirit of cooperation.
