We have a very exciting opportunity, for an experienced individual to join us as our ESG Data Analyst. Sustainability is an integral part of Arriva’s vision to help shape a future where passenger transport is the best choice. This means creating an environment where communities can thrive with less congestion, good air quality and attractive, reliable and sustainable public transport systems.
The role will support the ESG Director to manage, develop and implement the group ESG reporting requirements, maintain accurate records and continually review ESG reporting requirements and trends, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
This role offers great flexibility and can be based anywhere within our UK or Europe locations.
About the role
- You will build and maintain close liaisons with key stakeholders by creating a networked function to ensure a co-ordinated and structured approach to all aspects of ESG reporting.
- As subject mater expert you will support, train and mentor colleagues within the Group to ensure our ESG reporting obligation and targets are met.
- You will deliver business insights that help identify opportunities for improvements in ESG performance.
- You will provide guidance and support to colleagues on ESG data collection and reporting, including training and awareness-raising initiatives.
- You will manage relationships with third-party data providers and other external stakeholders involved in ESG reporting.
- You will ensure the ESG reporting system is managed and maintained to deliver ESG data reporting requirements.
- You will support Zero Emisision Institue to strengthen Arrivas climate change policy and help coordinate efforts to measure, reduce and mitigate carbon emissions.
- You will review peer disclosures and provide recommendations on how to enhance Arrivas sustainability and ESG communications.
What we'd like from you!
- You are degree educated in a relevant field (e.g. English, Communications, Sustainability, Data Analytics)
- You are experienced in the ESG space, having worked in a corporate environment.
- You have demonstrable experience in best practice reporting.
- You have knowledge of initiatives such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, European Sustainability Reporting Standards, Sustainable Development Goals and Global Reporting Initiative.
- You can demonstrate knowledge of ESG ratings and indices.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
- You are able to demonstrate experience in project management.
- You are organised and able to prioritize tasks and activities.
