ESG Analyst
London
As an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Analyst, you will be supporting the Head of the Specialist Investment Management (HSIM), the Head o the Discretionary Portfolio Management (HDPM) and the Portfolio Managers (PMs) in complying with all the aspects of the Responsible Investment (RI) Policy. This includes taking care of the Environmental. Social and Governance (ESG) aspects of the Investments Process, supervising the Monitoring Process for existing holdings as well as leading the relevant Stewardship Voting & Engagement activity.

What will you be doing?
- Performing ESG Analysis and produce ESG Rationales for the wider SIM team, including Equities and Fixed Income
- Updating the ESG Dashboards across all SIM Equity Portfolios (Global, Europe, UK)
- Owning and co-ordinate on Engagement duties – engaging with companies around material issues, usually through external providers (e.g. Hermes)
- Co-ordinating the Stewardship Voting Activity across all SIM Equity Portfolios (Global, Europe, UK)
- You will be responsible for monitoring potential controversies arising in holdings
- Maintaining, run and help develop ESG Financial Models used to implement Fixed Income Investment Process (with the ESG credit process as a priority)
- Helping the interface between Head of SIM, portfolio managers and other stakeholders
- Taking charge of administrative tasks inherent to the business
What we’re looking for:
- Passion for ESG and some knowledge/ experience in this area
- Undergraduate degree
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Some experience working in an ESG-related role
- Postgraduate programs in finance or professional qualifications
- (e.g. ESG certification - CFA Certificate in ESG Investing, GARP SCR)
- Experience of the EOS Hermes Portal
