Purpose of the Job
As a Human Factors/Ergonomics Engineer you will be participating in project/offer development through the application of internal procedures, instructions and guidelines of the HF/ergonomics discipline and be operative in the following activities: Human factors/Ergonomics assessment with Catia V5, Human Builder, Human posture analysis, and Human activities analysis in the frame of tenders and projects, Assessment of display interface and definition of design rules, Human factors studies: workload and risk identification and assessment, Calculation of Anthropometrics data, seat dimension, Preparation, analysis and interpretation of Return on Experience from previous projects (REX) results, R&D under the coordination of the Core Competence Network (CCN)
Your responsibilities:
- Contributor to all Alstom programs & projects facing technical activities in Human Factors and Ergonomics related fields
- Responsible for expertise in the domain of human factors/ergonomics, recommendations for diagrams, design of cabins and cars, design of seats and footrests, maintenance of sub-systems
- Responsible for Human Factors related risk analysis and workload evaluation
- Responsible for specification of passengers’ needs in the domain of services (catering and distribution) and Information (Public address, video etc.)
- Responsible for assessment of display’s screen (including heuristic), possibly of specification of displays
- Accountable for measurements done in the Tympanic area (pressure wave)
- Accountable for maintainability and cleanability
- Responsible for a platform, pre-projects and projects, and simulations for cab visibility, workplace accessibility and reachability. Write reports that summarize the results before SGR. Provide simulation that valid the performance before PGR. Develop and promote the use of mock-ups for the definition of a cabin and cars layout.
- Contributor to define and deploy the process and tools to implement simulation and assessment
- Contributor for the definition of Engineering instruction, guidelines and DRCL (Design Review Check List – project quality cycle)
- Contributor to developing, deploying and promoting the library of a manikin, driver’s desk, seat and footrest
- Responsible for QCD of ergonomics/human factors activities
- Accountable for the engineering QCD
- Contributor to develop a relationship with Region and Platform to get REX about similar architecture and HF/ergonomics validation of the simulated solution
- Contributor to the development of a relationship with a University
- Contributor to perform active technical watch
- Responsible for reporting on a regular basis the progress of the different activities
- Responsible for providing support and expertise in ergonomics methodologies, assessment
- Participate in R&D projects and work packages
Your profile :
Educational Requirements
- General Engineering degree Bachelor/Master of Science or equivalent.
- Human Factors / Ergonomics training
- Good level of English (TOEIC B2).
Competencies & Skills
- Ergonomics and Human factors skills: a postural and cognitive analysis
- Use of Simulation
- Catia v5, DMA, Human Builder, Human Posture Analysis,
- Virtual reality
- Methodologies for ergonomics: tasks analysis, questionnaire definition, interview, synthesis, RULA, REBA
- Workload analysis (NASA-TLX), Human error (Sherpa), Human reliability analysis (for example, THERP, HEART, ..)
- Standards & Regulations: TSI, UIC 651, 612, EN 16186, ISO 9241
