Our client is a full-service investment bank providing corporate finance and corporate broking services, both domestically and internationally.
Services include advice on fundraisings on the equity capital markets (ECM), corporate broking (research and sales), private and alternative financing and M&A advisory services. They act for a diverse range of public and private companies, ensuring that a top-quality advisory and broking service is provided to them on an ongoing basis. Sector strengths include transitional energy, technology, leisure, support services and consumer brands.
The Role
They are looking to recruit a high performing individual to join its team in London as an equity research analyst to lead coverage of the transitional energy sector, alongside a colleague with a strong energy background.
The successful candidate will be key to maintaining relationships with corporate clients as well as playing a hands-on role in developing and supporting the pipeline of client coverage through your corporate and industry network. The role involves significant interaction with buyside clients.
We are open to candidates with a range of prior coverage experience although sectors most pertinent are Manufacturing, Clean Technology, Industrials, and this role will cover a range of sectors that contribute to the energy transition piece, e.g. Hydrogen & Batteries. A relevant engineering degree would be peferred, as well as a professional accounting qualification.
Requirements:
The successful candidates will need to demonstrate:

- Very strong attention to detail;
- Degree, preferably in an engineering discipline;
- Understanding of company accounts, fundamental and relative analysis;
- Strong financial modelling, numerical and analytical skills;
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Practicality and commercial awareness;
In order to perform the role, the individual will be required to dedicate time outside of standard business hours on certain projects and possibly undertake occasional travel as necessary.
