As the Equality and Human Rights Lead within Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership, your decisions will have a big impact in a small partnership with big ambitions. This is an exciting new role where you will have the opportunity to influence and drive change in an agile organisation.
The postholder will:
- Be responsible for the development, co-ordination, consultation, and championing of Integrated Equality & Human Rights within Midlothian Integrated Joint Board, Midlothian Health & Social Care Partnership, and external networks.
- Provide strategic programme leadership and work with lead professionals, managers and staff representatives across Midlothian Health & Social Care Partnership and partner organisation to ensure that the full range of strategic activities required to deliver on responsibilities for Equality and Human Rights have widely owned implementation and improvement plans.
You will bring
- A Track record in advancing equality, diversity and inclusivity
- Expert knowledge and understanding of equality and human rights legislation, policy and practice
- Previous experience supporting the completion of Equality Impact Assessments
- Experience analysing information/data and preparing reports
- An ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a complex environment
- An ability to communicate highly complex and sensitive information
- Leadership skills and be a model for inclusive behaviour
- A motivated and self-starter approach

This post is based on a hybrid working model. The primary base is Old Bonnyrigg Health Centre, Midlothian.
