EPOS ENGINEER
PowerEPOS Support Engineer
Location: Edenbridge, Cambridge, Kent TN8
Permanent .Full Time
We are a multinational company providing first class Epos solutions, mobile apps, kitchen video displays, stock control solutions and data analyst tools to the hospitality industry for over 30 years.
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an EPOS Engineer who is savvy, self-driven and an ambitious individual. Experience in technology software or hospitality is ideal as we will provide on the job training. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering.
The job
We will provide you with the training and technical skills training required for the role. You will have a great personality, a positive approach, bags of enthusiasm and love interacting with customers. .
- To set up, install and maintain our hospitality technology solutions both from the Edenbridge office and onsite around the United Kingdom and Europe.
- Answer support calls and provide solutions
- Customise Epos systems to each customer’s specific requirements.
- Onsite installation testing to the customers satisfaction of all Epos components
- Onsite training of customers, staff and management teams in the use and basic maintenance of our software systems.
- Onsite repair or replacement of damaged hardware.
- Testing new software features
- Liaising directly with the sales team, the developers, end users and engineering team members
- Includes monthly weekend out of hours support on a rota basis
What we need you to bring to the job
- Previous experience with EPOS software or hospitality/customer care experience is required
- Ideally been in the role of supervisor/team leader or ready for it
- Basic knowledge of PC hardware, networking, Windows operating systems and PC troubleshooting.
- Drivers licence (to comply with insurance requirements, aged 21+ years
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good personal organisational skills
- The ability to work in a small team
- Solid problem-solving skills
