Customer and staff safety is of paramount important to us. As a Health, Safety and Environment Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the HS&E Manager to ensure our processes and systems are robust across all Utilita locations.

What does this role involve?
Through audits and inspections, you will provide support and guidance to all stakeholders’, promoting a positive health and safety culture.
Day to day, you will;
- carry out audits and inspections to ensure a safe working environment;
- identify hazards and mitigate, control, or reduce through effective risk assessments;
- review and investigate incidents in line with company policies and legislation, including reporting to and working with local authorities where required;
- assist in developing and implementing the company’s Health, Safety and Welfare policies, standards, guidance, and management systems.
Who are we looking for?
You will have excellent attention to detail and be competent in identifying hazards and how to mitigate, control and reduce them through effective risk assessments.
As an experienced HS&E Officer you will hold a General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent (NVQ level 3), and be a member of TECHIOSH or similar HS&E governing body.
You will need to hold a valid UK driving license and be prepared to travel nationwide to Utilita offices.
It would be highly advantageous experience in working to ISO 45001 and 14001.
