Environmental Services are a hub of customer-focused teams pooling our expertise to strengthen front-line operations. The Estate Services team provides a high quality, cost effective and responsive cleaning and grounds maintenance service, working closely with the regional housing teams, landlord services, residents, One Housing Group departments and external contractors.

The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Environmental Services Supervisor in London.
Salary: £31,050 to £36,225 with a vehicle provided for work use
Location: A mix of office based and on site work in the E14 area, London
Working hours: 35 hours per week, with flexibility needed
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of approximately 20 cleaning and caretaker operatives
- Meeting with your team at the start of the day, organising work for the day and checking they have all the tools and equipment they need
- Performance managing your team, using one to ones and coaching so that they are the very best that they can be
- Carrying our mandatory training
- Manage HR tasks for your team, including absences, holiday etc.
- Monitor the CRM queue, taking ownership of cases relevant to your patch and proactively working on issues raised
- Be present on site, checking on standards, dealing with issues on site and supporting your team
- Effectively manage and oversee supplies of equipment and services
- Ensure that demonstrable value for money is central to all areas of service delivery.
What you will need to succeed
We are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and is friendly and positive. The successful candidate will:
- Be a positive minded and pro-active person who enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Have a successful track record managing and leading operatives
- Have grounds maintenance, amenity horticulture and caretaking/concierge knowledge and experience
- Have an excellent understanding of health & safety relating to estates management (including fire safety, site safety, working at heights)
- Have a full current driving license,
