Chief People Office
The Chief People Office (CPO) comprises a HR Business Partnering function who deliver people services with the support of the Centres of Excellence – Reward, Resourcing, HR Services & Systems, Organisational Effectiveness & Engagement & Communication and Real Estate & Facilities. Our purpose is twofold; to drive business performance and enabling our people to be brilliant.
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our organisation as an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Administrator. The EHS Administrator will support and coordinate various aspects of our company's environmental, health, and safety programs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a passion for creating a safe and sustainable work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and organised records of safety-related activities, including incident reports, training records, inspections, meetings, including minute preparation and action tracking and compliance documentation.
- Respond to environmental, health, and safety inquiries from employees and stakeholders, ensuring that all queries are recorded, addressed, and actioned appropriately.
- Review and follow up on completed display screen equipment (DSE) workstation self-assessments.
- Support the risk assessment process across the organisation.
- Assist in planning, delivering, and promoting environmental, health, and safety awareness through the development of training programs and assisting with EHS communication, for example, deployment of the EHS newsletter schedule.
- Assist in monitoring, and reporting on EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as required by the business.
- Manage EHS administrative tasks, such as document control, record-keeping, and data entry using software and databases.
- Procure essential resources and effectively handle associated financial transactions.
Qualifications:
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent EHS experience.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Proficient in using relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, database management).
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
- NEBOSH Certificate.
- DSE Assessor Training.
- Knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
