Here in the UK we’re searching for a data motivated Environment Advisor with the skills to drive profound change within the wider team. You’ll work to support and collaborate with the Environment Lead, to deliver the environment and environmental sustainability requirements for Siemens Mobility within the Central EHS team. Your role will see you working in areas such as environmental compliance (carbon, waste, biodiversity, resource management, energy efficiency), environmental data management and analysis, environmental management system development and assurance, environmental target setting and strategy management, environmental performance reporting. Therefore your experience, data and detail oriented approach will support the requirements of this role.
The role can be based anywhere in the UK but you’ll need to have the flexibility and motivation to travel to improve your impact within the role.
Your role will cover
- Impacting the development of company-wide environment and environmental sustainability documentation in line with business needs, legislation, and stakeholder requirements. For example; policies, procedures, briefing notes, guidance documents and training material
- Supporting the development and maintenance of company-wide ISO14001 accredited environmental management system (EMS)
- Assisting in developing, implementing and maintaining company-wide environmental assurance programmes to evaluate compliance against the EMS.
- Managing and analysing company-wide environmental data and assist in the preparation of statutory corporate reports including: Streamlined Energy and Carbon Report (SECR), Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP), Task-force for Climate Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD), EU Taxonomy and Producer Responsibility
- Analysing company-wide environmental data to identify trends and to highlight risks
- Building networks across the business and providing data and information relevant to specific business areas
- Supporting the development and implementation of Siemens Mobility Sustainability Strategy
- Proactively tuning in to emerging environmental and relevant sustainability legislation and support the maintenance and communication of company-wide Environmental Legal Register
- Supporting the work winning teams in developing high quality/tailored environment and sustainability bid responses when requested
- Being an ambassador for the positive environment and sustainability culture both internally and externally
Your defining qualities, qualifications, and experience
- You’re applying with experience and knowledge to bring to the role
- Ideally you’re already a ISO14001 Internal Auditor
- You’ve achieve a degree or diploma in an Environment/Sustainability field
- Advisor – Practioner Level Membership of IEMA or a clear pathway to achieving this
- Other relevant memberships are desirable, such as CIWEM or IES
- An expert in analysing, organising and presenting data
- A natural willingness to learn and develop, particularly in less familiar related topics
- Detail oriented with the skills to deliver a high standard of work with confidence
- Confidence to deliver feedback and prioritise your work around business needs
- Able to build important relationships at all levels
- Willingness to provide guidance and constructive feedback to colleagues on environmental and relevant sustainability issues
- Actively engaged in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities
