Rolls-Royce specialises in the design and integration of complex systems to create products for a range of industries, notably aerospace, nuclear and defence. What you’ll be doing:
In this role you will work on innovative, high-profile projects within our growing portfolio of products, within the Rolls-Royce Controls System division. Perform Process Assurance that systems, software and hardware developed are the result of suitable, rigorous and structured processes enacted throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct assessments/audits of engineering activities for our world-leading engine control and monitoring systems to gauge compliance with applicable regulatory, safety critical industrial standards.
- Provide assurance to all Civil Aero and Business Aviation engine projects to the agreed milestones, deliverables and required level of quality, and with metrics monitored, managed and reported to assigned project teams and the line manager.
- Interface with, and provide support to, external bodies such as regulatory authorities (e.g. EASA), customer representatives, and supplier representatives.
- Create Process Assurance plans, work instructions for execution of Process Assurance functions, and technical audit reports.
- Generate and maintain objective evidence of assessment activities for customer and regulatory review
- Provide advice on alternative approaches to compliance requirement when appropriate

- Deliver on expected outcomes with agreed milestones, deliverables and required level of quality. Capable of working several projects simultaneously.

- Good interpersonal skills and ability of influencing others
- Good capability of accepting and picking up new tools/techniques/technologies
- Professionally qualified engineer (UK minimum BEng degree or other national equivalent) in Software or Electronic Hardware Engineering
- Skilled at working within a team orientated collaborative environment, as well as a sole contributor on identified projects.
