Job Description:
We are currently seeking an entry-level avionics technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced avionics professionals to install, inspect, maintain, and repair avionics systems in various aircraft. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about aviation and eager to kick-start their career in the avionics field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior avionics technicians in the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems, including communication, navigation, and electronic instrumentation systems.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on avionics equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to carry out installation and repair tasks.
- Collaborate with the team to diagnose and resolve avionics system issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements throughout all avionics maintenance activities.
- Document work performed, including maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment status.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of an FAA-approved avionics maintenance program or relevant Military training is preferred (3 years).
- Basic knowledge of avionics systems and components.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, such as FAA regulations, is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills in the avionics field.
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime, as needed.
