What is Merchandising?

Our merchandising team play a key role in analysing sales information to help them decide what stock to buy, in what sizes and what quantities. You will work closely with our Buying team to plan product ranges for our stores and website and you will work closely with our Supply team to ensure that stock is delivered at the right time and to the right places.

About the Role

  • To support the Merchandiser during key periods of strategic planning whilst also being responsible for the day to day running of the department.
  • To assist with the planning of our product ranges, always with the aim that stock and choice is optimised in line with business and customer requirements, and that our customers have great choice, by individual size, in whatever channel they choose to shop in.
  • To drive analysis, focus on size ratios and help build buy quantities required for each range sign off, and to work closely with the wider Product team throughout this process.
  • To provide detailed and insightful analysis on stock and sales, sharing this widely and communicating learnings clearly and effectively and assisting in the trading of the business. Assist with the forecasting and trading of your categories, building strong relationships across departments and continuously seeking to understand our sales performance and our customers better.

About You

We want people with a curious mindset, unwavering drive, and a high aptitude for picking up new information. The role is analytical by nature; so will lend itself to those with a STEM background, but that isnt essential. What is essential is the confidence and ability to articulate your ideas, as well as challenge the way we do things!

We want people who really understand and connect with our purpose, as this shapes everything we do. Our culture is agile and pacey, and you should be motivated by an environment where things can change quickly, and where things arent always black and white.

We want someone who loves solving problems, can spot patterns and trends, isnt afraid of a spreadsheet and is open to learning the complex nature of our stock and our data. Fantastic communication skills are a must and the need to communicate complex numerical information in an accessible way, will be a key part of what youll do.
