The Escapade Group owns and operates 5 visitor attractions within the M25. We welcome over 1 million people a year through our doors and host over 3000 birthday parties a year. In June 2022 we will be adding another attraction to our portfolio which will take our visitor numbers to over 1 million per annum. We are a young company and have further plans for growth over the next few years.
Hobbledown is based on a book. The role of the Entertainment Team is to bring our book characters to life! You will sing, dance and entertain our guests during interactions, performances and live shows.
As well as acting as a point of contact for visitors, the Entertainment Team also ensure that the safety of the site and cleanliness are always maintained to a high standard in and around the park. Over the Christmas period the team transform into elves and help Santa in the grotto!
- Customer Service
- Always provide outstanding and inclusive shows and interactions with our guests whilst remaining in character
- Deliver outstanding customer service and demonstrate positive body language to all visitors
- Drive and encourage positive online social media reviews such as Trip Advisor, Facebook and Google
- Offer a positive first response when handling visitor feedback, complaints or queries
- Escalate any visitor issues to the Duty Manager or Line Manager if unable to resolve and conclude
- Assist with lost children and follow the procedure when a child is lost or missing from their parent or guardian
- Call for First Aid assistance should any accidents or incidents occur
2. Presentation & Standards/Cleanliness
- Handle cleaning materials and chemicals correctly and in line with COSHH training
- Ensure that costumes are worn, stored and maintained to a high standard
- Ensure that the Theatre is kept clean and free of litter before and after each use
3. Standard Operating Procedures
- Events Hosts will sing, dance and entertain our guests during interactions, performances and live shows.
- Oversee the queue lines and capacity limits for the specific area of the park where you are performing.
- Excellent timekeeping with all planned performances starting on time
4. Health & Safety
- Responsible for complying with the company policy regarding Health & Safety
- Ensure job role is performed safely in line with the standard operating procedure and any specific safety controls
- Ensure hygiene standards are adhered to in specific work area
- Report any Health & Safety issues, potential hazards, accidents or near misses to your Line Manager, Duty Manager or member of the Management team immediately
The job holder will perform any other reasonable tasks as requested by the General Manager or Director of the business.

Work Experience
- Customer Service experience desirable from leisure, hospitality, hotel, retail, or any other customer facing industries or sectors

- Be able to learn simple choreography and perform.
- Willing to learn simple scripts for shows and activities.

If you are successful in this stage of the application, you will be invited to an interview/audition stage, where you will be asked to perform a song of your choice, and learn a simple choreography (taught by our Team) to perform in a group.
