Job title: SharePoint Lead Developer
Reports to: Productivity Solutions Team Lead
Location: Predominantly remote with travel required to Leeds LS10 office as and when needed
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, 9am to 5.30pm, 60-minute lunch
Salary: Up to £70k DOE + benefits

Focus of the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SharePoint Solutions Lead to join our team. As a SharePoint Solutions Lead, you will be responsible for creating SharePoint sites, configuring security and access, and developing bespoke custom web parts in SPFx across a variety of client business areas from healthcare to engineering and more.
You will advise customers on the options and recommendations for solutions that would meet their needs in a consultative manner, having captured and interrogated their requirements and recording them as user stories, and producing a Statement of Work detailing the solution you will develop for them.
You will then develop these solutions within the timescales you have estimated, drawing in colleagues with required skillsets in other technologies when required. Larger projects will have a Project Manager assigned to assist and support, but there is an expectation that a Solutions Lead will be able to manage smaller projects directly with the client themselves.
Your skills will also be utilised internally where opportunities arise and are identified to enhance our business processes or develop a product/service we can then deliver to our clients. You will be a key member of the Productivity Solutions team and be a point of contact to support, upskill and advise your team so we can grow and develop together.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements gathering and transformation to User Stories.
- Advise customers on options and recommendations on appropriate solutions in a consultative manner, considering both SharePoint and a wider range of Microsoft technologies.
- Development of SharePoint solutions based on work scoped by yourself or the team in budget and on time.
- Develop bespoke custom web parts in SPFx, SharePoint sites and access configuration.
- Independent working on projects including management of time, change requests and client updates and expectations.
- Collaborative working with the immediate team and wider BCN organisation as projects crossover technologies.
- Assist on internal projects to enhance our business processes and create products and services.
- Stay up to date on new developments, releases and changes within SharePoint and associated technologies.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues.

Person, Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a SharePoint Solutions Lead or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint site creation, security configuration and web parts development in SPFx.
- Experience in the wider Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Microsoft Graph API, Web API endpoints, Azure function apps and security principles (OAuth, Managed identities).
- Strong consulting skills with the ability to advise clients on SharePoint best practices and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently on projects and manage time and projects, including change requests and timescales within the project.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with clients and the development team.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field.
- Appropriate Microsoft SharePoint Certifications.
- Excellent knowledge of .NET and JavaScript Frameworks including (C#, Node.js, React, Typescript, REST).
- Experience in the use and management of Azure services.
- Experience in the Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Desired - Possess a PL-200, PL-400 or PL-600 certification.
