Job description
IT Solution Architect with debt management and integration solution experience, widespread IT architecture knowledge and skills, and previous hands-on experience collaborating with stakeholders. They will need to be skilled in developing end-to-end architectures and translating business needs into deliverable solutions.
The solution will need to leverage modern integration capabilities to integrate capabilities with enterprise platforms to deliver an end-to-end solution.

Assignment scope
You will be empowered to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders, vendors, and partners to architect the solution required by the business and ensure its alignment with Nationwide’s target architecture.
You will specifically:
- Work closely with other architects to understand dependencies across the end-to-end solution
- Ensure solution architecture integrity throughout the change lifecycle
- Ensure that the solution is fit for purpose, implementable, complete and align with maturing strategies and standards
- Align the solution with our digital transformation agenda
- Work closely with internal technology stakeholders and our suppliers / partners to ensure the solution is designed with their needs and constraints in mind
Skills and knowledge:
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-scale capabilities with exposure to multiple software vendors and technology platforms
- Integration experience with 3rd party providers
- Strong understanding of application architecture and systems integration concepts
- A strong understanding of application architecture best practices, existing and emerging technologies
- Knowledge of professional software development life-cycle practices
- Be capable of working cross-functionally to collaboratively build cohesive, deliverable, and manageable solutions; proactively identifying and resolving issues independently (a self-starter)
- Great communications skills (presentations, written, oral) which includes being able to translate complex technical topics into simple concepts to cater for the target audience at all levels of the organisation
- A broad understanding of the member needs landscape that retail financial organisations must satisfy
- Experience of delivering solutions to the cloud (AWS and/or Azure)

Salary: £70,000.00-£102,115.89 per year
