Job Purpose:
The Solution Architect role will ensure alignment between the ODEON business plan and the strategic direction of application, information and technology architecture for the Group, highlighting key drivers and benefits to be realised over the medium to long term.
Key Accountabilities:
- Translate ODEON business strategy and goals into practical technology changes and capability required at a Group and regional level
- Design and maintain technology roadmaps that underpin the business strategy and clearly align to business outcomes and goals
- Regularly engage with key business and IT stakeholders to ensure technology strategy and priorities remain fully aligned – including engaging early with new initiatives to help shape and influence scope and approach
- Create and maintain technology standards to be followed by all regions with the appropriate level of support, guidance and governance provided
- Provide architecture and design support to projects and programmes, including Design Authority for larger pieces of work
- Technology ‘horizon scanning’ and evaluation of new solutions that could help better enable the Odeon business
- Ensure that business teams are aware of available technology in the market and how this could best be harnessed to improve processes, revenue and guest experience
- Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners in order to support horizon scanning, benchmarking technology and to assure, consult and collaborate on design activities
Key Skills:
- Extensive and demonstrable technical knowledge and architecture skills, particularly across key areas of digital, integration, data platforms and cloud
- Dynamic and engaging communicator with the gravitas to present, influence and communicate at a senior stakeholder level across the Group and build lasting relationships with key external stakeholders
- Forward-thinking individual with a proactive approach to engagement in major initiative and projects, comfortable leading on architectural design from brief to completion
- Able to gain stakeholder support and buy-in for architecture initiatives across the Group
- Passionate about architecture and improvement, and the opportunity to make a tangible difference across the Group
- Experience working in dynamic customer facing multi-channel organisations and/or sectors is desirable but not essential
- Able to travel occasionally across Group European locations
