We are now recruiting Technical Architects to join our Technology and Standards team.
About the Role
As a Technical Architect at CTS you will provide architectural leadership with regard to the standardisation of technology resources for repeatable sale, deployment and operation whilst ensuring compliance with industry standards.
The T&S team’s purpose is to develop the technology underpinning new strategic managed services or changes to existing ones, including ongoing ownership of technology lifecycle management. The goal is to support Product Management in creating revenue-generating, profitable, and highly standardised repeatable services helping CTS achieve business targets while delivering world-class services to CTS clients.
Responsibilities.
Your primary responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
Technology Strategy - Collaborate across CTS to identify, assess, scope and architect new services to ensure the underlying technology delivers a functional and commercially viable service.
Technical Service Design - Provide expert technical input to Product Management in the production of contractual service descriptions, and cost of service modelling to meet the strategic requirements for new and changed services.
Technology Lifecycle Management - Responsible for technology lifecycle management framework including standards, processes, templates, and practices to ensure all supported components are maintained in line with vendor best practices.
Subject Matter Expert - Serve as a subject matter expert on technology trends, best practices, and industry standards. Providing expert technical advice, assessment and fourth-line support for sales, solution architecture, solution delivery, operations, service management security and compliance.

Essential Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in complex managed service or enterprise environments with various technology domains, such as infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity, and data management.
- Strong understanding of technology governance and risk management principles.
- Extensive experience with infrastructure management tools like LogicMonitor, Splunk, Ivanti, Veeam, Zero etc.
- Experience in standardising strategic technology-based services for repeatable sale, deployment and operation using centralised management systems/multi-tenancy
- Experienced in Agile and DevOps, with experience in scripting tools such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell and Azure DevOps.
- Experience in evaluating new cloud technologies from proof of concept to service introduction (RFC, Option papers, Solution Definition etc.)
- TIL best practices including tooling
- Excellent knowledge and ideally certified in a minimum of two of the following technology areas:
- Design and implementation of Microsoft 365 deployments (including identity, end-user devices, and compliance)
- Intune product family (including Intune, Autopilot, SCCM etc.)
- Microsoft Azure solution architecture including monitoring, management, and security services – ideally Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft server technologies - Windows, Active Directory, SQL, Exchange etc.
- Citrix Virtual desktop – ideally CCP-V or CCE-V
- Azure Virtual Desktop
- VMWare service provider shared and client-dedicated cloud solutions (including automation) – ideally VCAP

- Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 DOE
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday
