An incredible opportunity within one of the world's leading power generation Company is looking for Infrastructure Solution Architect based in Ipswich/Northampton/Selby.

Role: Infrastructure Solution Architect

Location: Ipswich/Northampton/Selby (one day week onsite at whichever is closest to you)

Duration: 6 Months (potentially Ext)

Rate: Circa £600 - £650

Status: Inside IR35

Provides infrastructure design leadership for technical solutions across the technology towers, ensuring the solutions are customer focused, support business outcomes that are aligned with current and future Group IT technology and security

Experience and skills Required:

• Significant experience within IT infrastructure environments with extensive, hands-on experience of the design, implementation and support of IT solutions and the practical application of architecture frameworks and standards
• Experience within Migrating legacy apps into a VMware environment, Upgrading Windows servers and deployment of applications.
• Experience in developing, documenting and maintaining architectural blueprints
• Must be customer centric with evidence of working on initiatives to improve customer user experience
• Experience of working with business and IT stakeholders and third parties
• Experience in strategic planning and roadmap development
• Excellent communication skills enabling interaction with all levels of the business and IT (including written and oral communication where appropriate) including proven report writing skills
• Support of change initiatives through IT Service Management (ITSM) policies and procedures

Responsibilities:

• Support and create high level technical designs referencing the architectural governance framework
• Validation of low-level design to ensure no adverse impact on current operations, working closely with Tech
• Validate functional and non-functional requirements in the design phases for new or changed services
• can be managed effectively and efficiently by the operational teams when transitioned into service
• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of IT Operations' architectural blueprints
• Support projects by providing infrastructure technical expertise
• Provide coaching and mentoring to team members
