Please note we are looking for various teachers over the next few months and specifically over the summer.
Our adult school (OHC) will be hiring within the next few months for the summer duration. You must have a:
- TESL Canada Level One
- TESL Ontario
- Trinity College CertTESOL or DipTESOL
- Cambridge University CELTA or DELTA

Summary of Position
A great opportunity to teach a diverse group of students for up to 8 weeks. We specifically focus on language activation, confidence building, and communicative competence. Our syllabus is topic based and focuses on useful, practical, functional language, which the learners will use in real life.
Key Responsibilities
- To actively promote and safeguard the welfare of children
- Prepare lesson in accordance with Sol Camps curriculum
- Provide excellent instruction in an integrated skills curriculum using the communicative method.
- Offer weekday intensive EFL classes (Monday – Friday, 8:45am – 12:30pm)
- Accurately maintain class and student academic records (e.g. lesson plans, attendance, grades, etc.).
- Provide superior customer service through your everyday interaction with students.
- To implement differentiation techniques for students who excel and for those who need additional support, including EFL learners
- To enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the department through sharing resources and good practice, lessons observation, collaborative teaching, mentoring and active participation in continuing professional development
- To perform additional duties effectively as required by the school
Qualifications:
Musthave the following educational qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education
Or a Bachelor degree in any discipline plus any one of the certifications below:
- TESL Canada Level One
- TESL Ontario
- Trinity College CertTESOL or DipTESOL
- Cambridge University CELTA or DELTA
