Job description
English Language Tutor
Are you qualified to teach English as an additional language? Do you have the ability to motivate and inspire students? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience?
We have a number of roles available for English Language Tutors at the University of Leeds. The Language Centre (LC) at the University of Leeds teaches students from all levels: Foundation through to PhD, both in pathway programmes for students prior to beginning their degree studies, and on-course programmes. Leeds is on the forefront of the trend for embedded EAP, including twelve discipline-specific summer pre-sessional programmes, and growing numbers of LC staff seconded into academic departments during the academic year.
In this role you will develop and deliver engaging, effective English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and/or General English summer pre-sessional classes to international students at the University of Leeds.
Previous applicants need not apply. Visa sponsorship for this role is unavailable.
Please include a covering letter clearly stating which role and contract dates you are applying for. (see candidate brief to view the different contract durations). Interviews will be held, via MS Teams, for both roles w/c 3 July 2023.
