Job description
We are looking for experienced and professional teachers who are keen to develop within the ELT field in a multi-cultural setting in Edinburgh in the summer of 2023. The right candidate should be willing to teach a variety of levels and courses, such as Exam English Business Skills, and be confident in engaging with digital teaching tools and using different approaches.
Essential:
- Celta or Trinity Cert TESOL
- Native or near native-like English
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to lesson plan and define objectives
Desirable:
- A first degree
- Experience with supporting students learning developing learner autonomy
- Two years of experience teaching different levels
- Sound understanding of the use of technology in learning
The Role:
You will be teaching groups of up to 15 students on a semi-intensive course of 15 hours a week or an intensive one of 21 hours a week. There will also be the chance to lead Social Programme activities.
Various start dates and contract lengths are possible throughout June, July and August 2023. There is also the possibility of further work after the summer, depending on our student numbers. Teaching times can be flexible, with the possibility of a morning or an afternoon timetable.
There is an in-house course book, but you are free to supplement or follow the syllabus using your own materials. All classrooms have Smart Boards, and the course books are also in Smart Notebook format.
