Job description
G4 Technologies has launched a new solution to improve and reduce costs related to asphalt road construction and we are looking for an Engineering Technician.
The Engineering Technician will be a dual discipline role, requiring knowledge of both hardware and software systems. The person will be responsible for developing and implementing system-installation procedures and providing data analytics for post-construction reports. This person will be responsible for inventory management, on-site installations, and on-site training, as well as, analyzing and monitoring data collected during construction for post-analysis reports and data validation. An ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in both a construction environment and an office. This person will be responsible for working closely with the Technology Development Manager for both the development and implementation of installation protocols and validation of post-construction data and reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following. Actual scope of responsibility will often exceed this general outline.
- Installation of technology solutions on construction equipment.
- Troubleshooting hardware connections and software errors during the installation process.
- Testing hardware components from vendors for quality control.
- Maintain an organized inventory of all system components both in the field and in storage.
- Develop protocols and procedures for repeatable installations.
- Develop training manuals for the calibration and use new technologies being introduced into the construction industry.
- Train and advise construction crews on how this technology can be implemented into existing workflows.
- Running python programs in a cloud environment.
- Data analysis and generation of post-construction reports and summaries.
- Python programming for improving existing workflows and processes.

- Experience in a hands-on technical field such as electronics or circuit analysis.
- Experience working with electrically sensitive hardware and knowledge of electrical safety procedures.
- Experience with Linux Operating Systems and command line interfaces (CLIs)
- Experience programming and working with Python.
- Demonstrated skills in writing technical documents.
EDUCATIONS and/or WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience in working with electrical systems.
- Experience working with Python and cloud computing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
