We are looking to hire an Engineering Technician.
The Engineering Technician is responsible for testing and troubleshooting components and systems.
GENERAL DESCRIPTIVE TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Testing and troubleshooting analog and digital circuits to meet avionic system test requirements.
- Design tasks include, but are not limited to, Product Electrical Engineering, including PCB board troubleshooting, Unit assembly and Test system interconnection.
- Develop Qualification Test Plans and Procedures in accordance with FAA and customer requirements.
- Perform Product Qualification Testing. Perform failure analysis and troubleshooting if required.
- Develop Functional Test Procedures and Acceptance Test Procedures following customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot existing circuit card assemblies to determine the root cause of failure.
- Develop Visual database Bills of Material under drawing change control.
- Manage and report project details to internal and external customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Educational Requirements - 4 years accredited college degree - BSEE or equivalent, or in process of a degree.
Minimum Years Experience -4 years applicable electronics experience in the avionics field.
Technical Training Required - Working knowledge of instrumentation test equipment and certification. External lab experience useful.
Other Requirements - Strong technical writing and communication skills.
Computer Requirements - Above-average computer skills in a Windows environment. Working knowledge of circuit design and C tools.
Background check and drug screen required (every external new hire in the U.S.)
