Engineering Technician
£40,000 - £45,000
Main Duties
- To ensure all Safety rules and procedures are adhered to
- To ensure that the standards required to fulfil the Legality, BRCGS and ISO requirements are met.
- To ensure the efficient daily running of production machines.
- Carry out routine PPM checks as well on all equipment within the production facility. Machinery include, but not limited to, extrusion blow moulding machines, granulators, compressors, chillers, vacuum conveying and mixing systems, automated palletisation machine, conveyors (Belt and roller) semi- automated spot welding machine.
- Maintain, fault diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems associated with the function of various full and semi- automatic machines
- Be able to work on your own or as part of a team to complete the tasks.
- Complete written reports on each job.
- Carry out product / mould variant changeovers when necessary.
- Liaise with Production Planner to arrange machine downtime for maintenance work.
- Work closely with Production Manager to ensure Production machinery is available and performing above targets through practical proactive efficiency improvements and maintenance.
- Assist in the transfer of new products and processes into production.
- Maintain suitable records of projects and maintenance activities.
- Manage small projects or sub-elements of larger projects.
- Out of hours technical support to be given on a rota basis.
