Job description
Assists the Asset team with the technical work of the operational reports, inventory management, production data maintenance for analysis, and other well centric data to support daily well operations.
- Creates and updates economic databases.
- Retrieves, downloads, and imports well production data.
- Reviews and verifies accuracy of well data.
- Participates in weekly reservoir engineering meetings.
- Prepares computer generated reservoir production graphs.
- Monitors and maintains well list, through a 3rd party service, for annual sampling.
- Maintains the departmental database and files and manages departmental records.
- Import and export of well data, directional surveys, logs (rastar and LAS), production data, formation tops and scout information.
- Populate and manipulate data in Excel and Access, importing formation tops, perfs, pressure and production data into PETRA software.
- Research and retrieve data from inhouse, online (Sonaris, IHS, DrillingInfo, etc) and geological log libraries.
- Maintains and monitors inventory of log, geological, or other corporate data.

- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Two (2) years oil and gas engineering tech experience preferred.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
- Ability to integrate data from different sources into model reservoirs.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
- Required: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and Outlook), and PI/Dwights, public data retrieval, and basic database management.
- Preferred: Petra, SMT, Aries, PowerBI, Spotfire
- Required: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent with some training and experience in ARIES Economics Program or similar engineering software.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a technical degree.
