Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager in the Platform Group, you will be part of the Workplace Technology team on our mission to improve internal technology service and processes and help automate tasks, supporting our growing employee base of ~230 staff plus external contractors. We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring our entire team has access to the tools, services and workflows that help them work efficiently, safely and securely. You will contribute to the strategic development of the Workplace Technology team, ensuring it scales with the organisation and meets the changing needs of our employees, ensuring they can work effectively whether they are in the office or at home.
Key Accountabilities:
Work with and support internal teams where necessary on audit evidencing, onboarding/off-boarding etc.- Monitor the internal ticketing system and chat channel, completing support requests, in a timely manner and escalating requests where required.
- Work with our onsite facilities team to ensure that all office equipment/network is functioning properly, all assets within the building are in working order and to replace where necessary.
- Act as an Administrator for Workplace Technology.
- Building laptops and tablets and other mobile computing devices as required.
- Maintain hardware inventory, ensuring that this is up to date and published.
- Support for all new starters joining the organisation on their first day with laptop and access issues.
- Maintain high standards particularly regarding communications and response times.
Requirements:
- Experience working with or similar - Google Workspace, OneLogin, Atlassian (Confluence and Jira Software) as well as Jamf Device Management and Security (MDM) solutions.
- Good documentation skills and willingness to learn and document processes where missing or outdated.
- Working independently and able to make quick decisions with minimal guidance, being comfortable to back up those choices.
- Experience of using Slack or other Chat channels is beneficial.
- Experience of working with MacBook's or Laptops.
- Experience of Networking fundamentals to support office networks.
- Experience and understanding of InfoSec best practices and current threat landscape.
- Some basic knowledge of using code, APIs and linking tools.
