Overview:
We have an Engineering Technician position open on our R&D team based in Billerica, MA.Responsibilities:

We have an Engineering Technician position open on our R&D team based in Billerica, MA.
- Interfacing with engineers and scientists in the team to provide technical support in the lab, as needed.
- Building or help build new experimental instrumentation; adapting and modifying existing systems, as directed.
- Talking to vendors, purchasing parts, receiving materials, and maintaining inventories.
- Helping organize a local stock of parts, tools, and instrumentation.
- Following procedures to running routine tests and debugging.
- Providing maintenance to laboratory instruments, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- BS Degree prefered, AS required
- General technical handiness of assembling mechanical and electrical parts.
- Good organization skills
- Basic soldering, making cables, desired.
- Prior experience with analytical instrumentation, vacuum, pressurized gas cylinders, and high voltage are a plus.
- Good communication skills, work efficiently part of a multi-functional team.
- Basic computer proficiency, MS Office, Word, Excell
