Job description
Learning basic Engineering/Machining principles, working with variety of Steels & Aluminium, Plastics, across a broad range of engineering workshop processes.
Progressing to setting, Programming & running of CNC lathes & Vertical machining centers.
Potential to advance to 3D design.
What will the apprentice be doing?
- Small batch production of Industrial components in Aluminium & steel.
- Manual Turning, Milling, Grinding
- Operating CNC machinery
- Programing & Tool setting CNC machinery.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard
- Functional skills if required
- Day release at Grantham College (term time)
- On the job training 4 days per week
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Production manager
- CAD-CAM programmer

- Sales Engineer

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
