This is an important role in our engineering team. The candidate must understand the impact that unavailable stock has on our production.
Responsibilities
Your job will be varied, and typical activities will include:
- Developing efficient computer systems and processes for control of engineering stock.
- Procuring stock at the most competitive price available.
- Communicating with engineers, supervisors and management.
- Completing contractual paperwork and requesting funding through the correct process and in a timely manner.
- Carrying out monthly stock takes.
- Keeping the stock safe and secure, ensuring all processes are adhered to and escalating when processes have not been followed.
- Organising engineering store for effective stock control.
- Producing regular financial reports to finance team.
Who you are
You will have:
- A ‘can do’ attitude.
- Self-motivated and able to adapt to ongoing change.
- Able to demonstrate aptitude for problem solving using a logical approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages, specifically excel.
Experience
- 3 years’ experience working in engineering or procurement within manufacturing and/or food industry (Essential).
