Join the Siemens Energy Internship Programme and the people behind our Gas Turbine Services Division based in Lincoln. You’ll get to know us from the inside, develop your natural talents on the job - and become a part of the teams shaping the future of power generation. This is a 12 month role based in Lincoln, running from August 2023 - September 2024
A Snapshot of Your Day
Working within the Product Lifecycle R&D department, you will assist with project related activities including managing your own bespoke R&D project(s). You will also work with Product Owners & support initiatives associated with the development of strategic pathways for growing, protecting, and decarbonizing the fleet
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Assist the department with project studies as well as having your own bespoke R&D project(s) to manage.
- Interface with Product Owners and the wider Engineering community to deliver projects within a defined scope, time, and cost targets.
- Plan and execute R&D projects within a defined Product Development Process (PDP)
- Generate Design Briefs (Scope), Project Plans (MSP) and slide packs to support Engineering reviews (PDP).
What You Bring
- Undergraduate on track to graduating with a 2.2 or above in a Mechanical Engineering / Integrated Engineering subject.
- Self-driven individual that consistently takes ownership of assigned tasks and projects.
- Effectively work as part of a diverse, multi-disciplined team.
- Have an eye for detail and apply analytical skills to decision making and problem solving.
- Can understand and effectively communicate complex information, proficient in writing and IT skills including use of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding & use of Microsoft Projects (MSP)
