Our CMI (Cardiometabolic and Informatics) business has an exciting opportunity for an Intern / Year in Industry Placement Student to join our Engineering team in our in-vitro diagnostic manufacturing site in Dundee (Scotland) and being part of a highly-skilled team delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges in a highly automated manufacturing process.
Day to day, you will:
- Work in a cross functional team with Technical Operations staff to ensure efficient operation and improvements of critical and automated systems (reviewing performance and maintenance history to continue to make ongoing improvements to efficiency)
- Plan and execute equipment improvement projects with appropriate use of the change control process
- Assist with validation and operation of production equipment
- Provide support and assistance with Engineering and systems projects, documentation and other activities in compliance with site, Corporate and external regulatory requirements
- Run trials on manufacturing equipment, creating models, collecting and analysing data and writing reports
You will currently be studying a bachelors level qualification, with preference given to those in the areas of Engineering discipline, Mechanical / Automation. The intern will be on-site 5 days/week in our Dundee site (Technology Park).
