Wyre Council are partnering with a leading University to offer Civil Engineering Degree Level Apprenticeships. Civil engineering is everything you see that's been built around us. The Engineering team at Wyre are involved in wide breadth of Civil Engineering functions including coastal engineering, flood resilience, environmental engineering, emergency planning and development and maintenance of infrastructure.
We represent and work with our community and partners including the Environment Agency, Utility companies and other local authorities, working together to achieve exceptional outcomes. As an Engineering Assistant you will play a key part in the Engineering team, experiencing a wide range of skills including contract preparation, law, design, planning and finance whilst you develop through your Civil Engineering degree.
The successful candidates will need to have;
- A level requirements; BBC including grades BB in Mathematics and at least one from Biology, Chemistry, Computing, Digital Technology, Environmental Technology, Geography, ICT (not Applied ICT), Physics, Software Systems Development, Technology and Design or Double Award Life & Health Sciences.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to learn and develop your career and professional knowledge
- A passion for Civil Engineering and environmental issues
