We are delighted to announce that we are recruiting our next Engineering Apprentices!

Offshore Helicopter Services UK Ltd (OHS) supports the North Sea Oil & Gas sector with flight transfers and an Offshore Search & Rescue cover. This Modern Apprenticeship will take the form of both classroom and Aircraft Maintenance Environment Training (AMET) practical elements, divided between, Perth College, Air Service Training and OHS’s main bases, in Aberdeen. This will be a structured 4-year programme completing Modules at B1.3 Level, which will require a high degree of study and dedication. Upon successful completion you will qualify for a UK Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.

Accommodation will be provided for periods spent at Perth College and Air Service Training.

It is anticipated that the Apprentice Training Scheme commences on 21st August 2023, but you would be required to join OHS on 14th August for induction and pre-course preparation.

As an apprentice you can make your mark within the UK’s most dynamic engineering support organisation and realise your potential. You’ll be challenged to achieve from day one but will have the help and support of our experienced and skilled teams.

Essential Criteria for applications:

  • At least 5 National Qualifications with a minimum of Nat 5 in English, Maths and Physics or SCQF/English Equivalent

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • A keen interest in aviation and show aptitude in technology and engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • A problem solver who can also demonstrate attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for fixing and maintaining electronic or mechanical equipment (e.g.cycles/cars)
  • Be physically fit and be able to pass a colour vision test and medical assessment
  • Eligible to live and work in UK
