Oxfordshire County Council’s Road Agreements Team is looking for two Engineers to join their busy team.

About the role


As an Engineer your day to day work will be for residential and industrial development site infrastructure across Oxfordshire. You will be responsible for a challenging yet interesting variety of schemes including housing developments and highway infrastructure projects. You will be exposed to a broad spectrum of activities such as; engineering, site visits, giving legal advice, undertaking legal work and the chance to work on unique developments.


There are many exciting developments planned for Oxfordshire in the near future, including the Garden Towns of Bicester and Didcot together with major strategic housing developments of up to 7000 units. Excellent record keeping is essential, together with proven verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret drawings, be customer-focused for regular dealings with the public, developers, contractors and local members.

Your demonstrable skills and abilities will complement a multi-disciplined group of professionals in an exciting and evolving team.


You will be customer-focused in your regular dealings with the public, developers, contractors, other government bodies, Development Control as well as maintaining good working relationships within the team and with colleagues across our organization.
