About the role
We have an exciting ambition to ensure all people live in a city where our streets and public spaces serve everyone. Cities and towns where everyone can live and travel safely and healthily, where nobody is excluded.
We now have a unique opportunity for a talented engineer to join our team working with local communities to design and deliver outstanding cycling and walking infrastructure.
By providing best-practice street design from conception to delivery, you’ll help us in our vision to allow everyone to travel in ways that benefit their health and well-being, creating healthier, happier cities that are accessible to all.
Our region stretches from the Welsh border to the east coast. We have three office Hubs: Nottingham, Birmingham and Peterborough. Ideally, we’d like you to be within a sensible commutable distance of these, but we’re also hybrid working so nowhere within the region is too remote or too far.
What our staff have to say
"I’ve been working for Sustrans for almost 18 months now and what has struck me the most is how supportive everyone is.
"We all make time for each other and share knowledge and experience, to really help projects be the best they can.
"The variety of projects really keeps things interesting; they all have unique settings and challenges to be overcome.
"I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed getting out to see so many different parts of our region!"
