Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily shop support for testing, repair, overhaul of aircraft avionics components maintenance program. Component examples include: Cabin Pressure Controller, Main Landing Gear Steering Control, Flight Control Unit, Elevator and Aileron Computer, Flight Warning Computer, Electronic Engine Control, Hydraulic Interface Module,
- Provide troubleshooting of avionics component tests and automated test equipment for failure modes and finding solutions for root cause of fialures.
- Author and revise engineering specifications and work instructions for overhaul and repair of components.
- help develop, direct, and coordinate technical documentation such as test, repair, and overhaul specifications for aircraft avionics components.
- Develop and analyze reliability data and metrics, including non-routine maintenance actions, component failures and routing maintenance findings
- Develop new metrics based on current and new data discoveries to streamline preventative maintenance schedules
- Coordinate and sequence implementation of revisions to the maintenance program with all work groups that will be part of the implementation process, as well as the affected workgroups that will execute scheduled maintenance
- Gather, Monitor and Analyze data from various sources, identify key issues and develop recommendations for new and existing program packaging and for improved yield efficiencies
- Determine the effect on Tech Ops and Networking of routine maintenance program changes and notify affected work groups of the pending changes and potential impact
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience
- Thorough understanding of electrical/electronic systems
- Knowledge of software download and troubleshoot for Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
- Able to work with component OEMs for resolution of failure modes and service life reliability
- Able to work in shop environment and provide effective communication among technicians, supervisors, managers, and other engineers.
- Analytical, experience applying investigative techniques for problem solving
- Strong computer skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or computer science, Maintenance & Reliability Engineer
- Strong background and in-depth knowledge pertaining to maintenance programs and procedures in maintenance systems
