A global leading manufacturer are on the search for a Workshop Engineer to join their team based in the Basingstoke area. If you have engineering experience working with forklifts, plant, agriculture, access and/or automotive, then this position could be for you. Job Summary

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role as a Workshop Engineer will be expected to be in control of the maintenance, service and repairs of material handling equipment. Candidate will be working with an assortment of equipment which includes mainly electric, but will also be working with Diesel and Gas.

Responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer:

  • Servicing and repair of material handling equipment.
  • Ordering of parts as efficiently as possible & ensure all stock levels/movement records are accurate & correct
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately & within the stipulated time period & with the relevant order numbers
  • Manage own work in progress
  • Maintain a safe working environment & work in a safe manner

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualified in Plant, Vehicle Maintenance or similar
  • Preferably served a full apprenticeship
  • Experienced Plant Fitter, FLT Engineer, Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician or Ex forces will all be considered for this opportunity
  • Technical experience in Engines, Electrics and Diagnostics is compulsory. Hydraulics and all other engine types are required also.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Attractive Salary circa between £29k - £34k OTE £38k
  • Overtime paid at 1.5 hours (2.0 hours Sundays Bank Holidays)
