Multi Skilled Engineer - Continental Shifts
- 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern (2 Days/2 Nights/4off)

What we do
Country Style Foods are a family owned, modern craft bakery manufacturer that works closely with leading retailers and food service operators. The family have over 150 years experience in the flour milling and bakery trade, and since 1960 have seen the business grow from a single bread shop, to several large industrial sites specialising in high volume production of quality, artisan breads and bakery goods.
This particular role is based at the Carnaby site, close to Bridlington. This site specialises in producing bread rolls, Tiger loaves, and Sourdough products at high volume, employing over 300 people and is going through further growth.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment;
- Provide Engineering support to Production to ensure efficient performance on all equipment;
- Respond to any emergency breakdowns whilst on site with rota'd on-call requirements across the Engineering team;
- Provide training to production Team Leaders and Operatives on the lines to improve their understanding of the equipment and the correct operating practices;
- Assist in ensuring the safety of products produced, including through working within a HACCP framework;
- Ensure that all H&S procedures and engineering best practice are always adhered to;
- Accurate & timely records are entered and recorded on all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares/consumables used;
- Complete any other duties that arise and are deemed the responsibility of the engineer.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Time served apprenticeship or equivalent with a recognised Engineering qualification
- Electrical bias preferred
- Previous maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Flexible working attitude
- Competent electrical / fault finding & analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Methodical & strong attention to detail
