The Engineer Training Program (ETP) is one of Howmet's longest running & most successful technical development programs with alumni in leadership roles throughout the company. The focus of the ETP is to provide technical development & training for new engineers in the processes & technologies that are used in the investment casting industry. The ETP also focuses on developing leaders & building a strong foundation while exposing engineers to different parts of our Engines business. This ultimately leads to preparation for a variety of career paths with the different business units of Howmet Aerospace. During the 18 months, individuals will participate in a total of three assignments, lasting six months each, & will benefit from formal mentoring, coaching & competency development. Assignments are cross-functional & based on individual interests as well as the needs of the organization. This will ultimately lead to a final placement at one of the Howmet locations in a role such as Process Engineer, Product Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer.
Where Will This Position Be Located? 3 rotations will be assigned among following cities:
Dover, NJ (2 facilities)
Hampton, VA (2 facilities)
La Porte, IN
Morristown, TN
Wichita Falls, TX
Whitehall, MI (6 facilities)
Daily Responsibilities/Activities: ETP Engineers will learn the following in the program:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuing a BS in Engineering from an accredited institution with a 2023 or 2024 academic year graduation date. (Position will require successful achievement of Bachelors degree & all offers will be contingent upon this requirement)
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment or lab environment.
- Knowledge of MS Office and Excel, excellent written and oral communication skills, able to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis.
- Demonstrated technical ability through classwork and projects.
- Ability to work with and lead a team.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or lean manufacturing.
- Desire to work in an advanced manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical abilities.
